dreaming in the shadows of the Sleeping Maiden

Mt. Tam glimpsed from La Cuesta in Greenbrae

A symphony of scents in the air teased to a crescendo by the slight afternoon breeze…. I can discern only the steady note of jasmine, which is brassy and sweet and insistent. And everywhere the burst of new leaves — some pale green, others, like the maples, a bold spray of red catching the the light of the sun and turning it into wine that drips from delicate twigs.

It’s a very heady experience walking the streets of Greenbrae these days…. It certainly seems to bring out the muse of purple prose and get her all worded up and ready to go to work.

Oh, I am sorry, I don’t want to make you homesick…. But glad to hear you find these pleasing. It’s always hard to pick just that 1 shot for the day. :)

Don’t worry, I’m loving it. As for the selections, your instincts seem to be working.
