Mother’s Day brought fog and winds that stayed around for most of the day, hiding the sun and mountain, and cooling temperatures considerably. Never mind the fog and winds, though, when the shelter of mothering hearts can make sun of any cloud … which is just my way of pointing you to two posts on the kaleidoscopic and variegated and knotted experiences of motherhood. One of these posts is a collection of the wisdom of mothers remembered by children, while the other brings into focus what it’s like to be the “other” mother:
