Mt. Tam across the bay, glimpsed through the window of Greens Restaurant at Fort Mason, San Francisco

I went to the San Francisco Chocolate Salon at Fort Mason today with my friend Peggy Butler, who blogs about successful women and chocolate at Success & Chocolate. This was a most delightful field trip on a glorious 70+degree sunny day in San Francisco. Of course, once we were inside the pavilion, we forgot all about the sunshine as we went about the serious business of sampling the merchandise.

It didn’t take long for all that excellent chocolate to hit the magic spot, at which point we headed outside and straight for Greens Restaurant to load up on some (what else?) greens to balance the sweets we consumed – and which we also topped with sips of wine that were up for tastings. All this is my way of leading up to the fact that Mt. Tam took a backseat to the mounds of chocolates … and this brief glimpse of its peaks through the sun-filled windows of Greens Restaurant will have to do for that “picture a day” today.
