Just before I headed out, the wind started to pick up, rustling in play the curtains by the half-open window. The skies, however, seemed as blue and as suggestive of warmth as they were yesterday. By the time I got to the creek, the winds were done with the gentle warmup and there were hints of clouds strewn about the western edge of the sky. Once it goes dark, who knows what the wind will whip up for us and for the mountain tomorrow morning.
There weren’t many people on the path by creek, and those who lingered, did so mostly because their canine companions needed a bit of socializing with other canines or a lonely romp in the grass.
