As the day went on, small clouds gathered and went about the stealth business of occupying the sky. As their numbers grew, so the colors faded from the landscape. A judicious use of Photoshop filters could have restored the magic of spring tones in the picture, but what I saw through the lens of the camera was plain shadows stitched into forms by the dulled-edged cloud-filtered light.
